In 1968, the late Judge Paulo Macasaet (Founder of the school) led a group of incorporators to build a school for children in GSIS community. Mrs. Violeta T. Lantin (School Principal) together with two teachers began to work with Pre-school children in a small building constructed in 32 days. The Pre-school was set up with the most relevant ideas for the early growing years of childhood. It provided plenty of opportunities for learning through play and use of diversified tools and materials. Because of the school’s progressive learning atmosphere, coupled with close working relations at home, parents requested the administration to open up an elementary school, suitable for today’s children and in consideration of the community’s growing educational concerns. The school discovered better ways and approaches in handling children. This gave birth to its first Elementary Course (Grade I-IIV) in June 1970.
It obtained government recognition and was granted authority to issue certificates of graduation for elementary graduates on July 6, 1970.
In October of 1972, Mrs. Violeta T. Lantin left for the United States for observation of Elementary and High School classes. Upon her return, seminars and workshops were conducted to enhance the Pre-School and Elementary departments. The results were evident as observed by parents and gradually achieved status and recognition in the community.
In 1974, a High School was established to meet persistent demands of parents and student’s demands who felt, we must continue the unique teaching process up to secondary level. All those years, the school took its task of innovating and enriching its educational program around the students varied growth patterns, changing economic, political and social conditions, the fast technological and scientific advancement taking place in the world today such that he will be able to strive for goals at his own pace of growth.
